                                                                  Website Colour Scheme I have chosen to use a muted colour palette of a range of greys, whilst embodying colour through small uses of a lighter or pastel shade of purple. This is because the artists’ websites I researched, in relation to ballad songs, had rather muted colours throughout to possibly resemble to melancholic tone of their music.   I have used found images to create a mood board for the imagery of the main character's teenage reality in a toxic relationship. From this, I have decided that lower exposure or even backlit shots should be the most prevalent during the teenage scenes to reinforce the melancholic, lonesome tone. Make up will be key during this production to present the audience with visual representations of emotion: smudged mascara/eye makeup, glossy eyes, red cheeks, tears streaming down face. Slow motion shots and fast editing will be imminent throughout these scenes to express how this part of her life is a deep depressive episode due to living in a chaotic, unpredictable environment.  

02 Statement of Intent  How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words) Music Video My brief is to produce a music video\ for a popular ballad, made for distribution to a 16-25 year old audience, alongside the accompanying website for the musical artist of the music video. My music video will be targeted towards young adults as that's the social group that are more likely to engage with the music video. To ensure this I have chosen to represent issues amongst young adults in my music video which includes toxic relationships and the affect it has on the mental health of those involved. As this is such a widespread issue amongst young adults, it will appeal to a larger audience as young adults may feel that they're represented through the music video through relatable situations.
