I have used found images to create a mood board for the imagery of the main character's teenage reality in a toxic relationship. From this, I have decided that lower exposure or even backlit shots should be the most prevalent during the teenage scenes to reinforce the melancholic, lonesome tone. Make up will be key during this production to present the audience with visual representations of emotion: smudged mascara/eye makeup, glossy eyes, red cheeks, tears streaming down face. Slow motion shots and fast editing will be imminent throughout these scenes to express how this part of her life is a deep depressive episode due to living in a chaotic, unpredictable environment.
